How To Stay Well Organised
It's true what people say tidy space, tidy mind. I would like to think I am a pretty organised person when it comes to it, however it's actually doing it that makes you organised. So to kick start the new year I thought I would do a blog post on how to stay well organised and this will kick boost me too. Help pull up my socks a little you know?
First things first, take 10 minutes out of your day to sit down with a pen and paper. Making time to actually sit down with a pen and paper is the first steps to been organised. A lot of people put it off because they don't have time to be organised, well that's where your going wrong. If you make time for your self to organise your week, your going to notice the difference, as your going to have a lot of spare time once you do these simple steps.
Make a list, once you have that spare 10 minutes plan for the day ahead. Write down everything you may need to do that day. Whether that's get some milk, make an appointment or even just bills you need to sort out. Making lists makes it much easier for you to remember, rather than panicking about it at the last minute.
Prioritise, now that you have your list of things you need to do, start to prioritise which ones the most important to sort out first. When you start to sort them out in order which one is the most urgent to do, you will feel the benefits. You won't say things like oh I must get that done or I must do that, because you've already done it.
Tidy space, Tidy mind. It's totally true what they say, if you don't have a tidy space you won't know where everything is. That's when things go missing. Rather than worrying about where everything is have a clear out. Get rid of old clothes you don't wear anymore, or get rid of old tupperware in your kitchen cupboard as you probably have loads. You don't need that many.
You don't have to do everything on paper, majority of people these days have a mobile phone. So if your making appointments or even just a coffee date catch up, pop it in your phone. Then if anyone cancels it's so much easier to take out of your schedule and pop it in for another date.
I have also created my own bullet journal over the past year and I have carried it on to this year. If you don't already have a journal, you may want to get one. I have found having my own bullet journal is so much more easier, as you can customise it your self and it's personal to you. You can buy journals where it has everything in for you, your to do list or shopping list etc. Having a journal helps you put everything into one place. So you can go to your journal and know what you need to do.
I don't know about you guys but been well organised keeps me calm, so it's important for me to do these steps. Don't put it off, don't think about it, just do it. I promise in the long run you will benefit from it.
I hope you liked this blog post, leave me a comment and let me know how you stay well organised.
