Setting Goals And Aspirations And How To Achieve It.
Hello 2018! Another year where people start to set New Years resolutions. I know I have done it over the years where I think I'm doing good setting New Years resolutions, don't get me wrong it's great if you can stick to them. Too be totally honest that's the whole reason why I have stopped having New Years resolutions, as I could never stick too them. Instead I mentioned in my latest blog post, Things I Would Like To Do In 2018. I am going to be incorporating a few things into my life that are easy changes and therefore know I can stick to them. So for the start of the year, I have started to write down things that I would like to set as goals and aspirations throughout the year. I have wrote down the goals or aspirations and wrote down why I want to achieve that this year. I have also wrote down the date beside where I set the goal and then I wrote down a date of when I want to achieved this by. Many people think I may be crazy and many people may already do this. I promise their is a method in the madness.
The reason why people struggle to stick to the New Years resolutions is because their is nothing their to strive them towards it. Where as, if you set a goal or aspiration and you have a date when you set it and a date when you want it to be achieved by. You have something to work towards and therefore you will feel more fulfilled when you achieve it. But how do you achieve it ...
...by braking it down into small bits. When setting your goals you might think their is no way I can achieve that this year, but I wouldn't speak too soon. I think if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything. If you start to set smaller goals in your big goals, your little goals will become more achievable. Once you start to achieve your little goals, you will start to see the difference. You will then realise how close and easy it could be to achieve your goals and aspirations. Don't get me wrong their might be few hiccups along the way but don't let that demotivate you. Try and try again, keep at it. Persevere because the harder you work for something, the greater you will feel when you achieve it.
The reason why I think it's important we all set some sort of goals and aspirations is because, when we achieve something we feel more positive. We also believe in ourselves a lot more. So setting other goals in the future won't be so scary as we know if we put our mind to it, we can achieve anything. Having goals and aspirations helps us too look at life with a bigger picture and understand that we can push our self to the best of our ability. We can also look back at our goals that we wrote down in years to come and appreciate what you have achieved in that time. All in all it helps us make sure we live life to the fullest.
