Autumn Evening Routine
Seasons comes and season go... It's that time of the year again when I remember how much I actually love Autumn. It's strange though as I'm not one for cold weather give me sun any day, but there's something so special about Autumn. When the leaves change color, temperature changes, nights get darker and we wrap up warmer. It makes me warm inside and I think it's because I love to be cozy and what better season to be cozy in.
Here is what I normally do for my Autumn Evening Routine.
If I come in from a busy day at work the first thing I do after taking my shoes off and putting my bags down is to stick the kettle on. I find the biggest mug I have and make a cup of tea. I love to wind down after work and to me having a cup of tea solves everything. After making a cup of tea I start to run a bath. Whilst my bath is running I quickly prepare my outfit for the next day so it is ready and i'm prepared just a little bit. After a long day at work my make up has to come off, I have mentioned this before but I use the No 7 Hot Clothe Cleanser to remove my make up. However I have been testing out the L'Oreal Skin Expert/Paris Fine Flowers Gel - Cream Wash. I may do a full review of it once I have tested it out a bit longer. After removing my make up I then make the decision whether i'm going to have a Lush bath bomb or if I am going to be having a big bubble bath. Once the bath is ran, I like to light a candle, get a book and relax.
I'm not usually one for reading a book however recently I ordered three from amazon and I am hooked. I have totally been missing out. It's my new thing when I am in the bath I love to read and I know that is me time. It's important we all have some me time, especially after work if you feel tired or stressed. Having some me time is a time for you and your mind to have a break and totally zone out. It's really good for you as it relaxes you and stops your mind from going into overdrive. I love to be able to just zone out and get really stuck into reading a book and forget how long I have been in the bath for. I normally come out with wrinkly feet and hands, that's when you know you've been in too long.
After having a really long soak in the bath, reading a few chapters of my book and also finishing my massive cup of tea. I then use the Fenjal Hydrating Body Lotion. I have recently just discovered this as a friend recommended it to me. This time of the year my skin tends to change and become dry and patchy so therefore I need to lather my self in moisturiser more than usual. The smell is very hard to describe as it's not like anything else I have smelt before. I would say it was a very calming, fresh luxury scent. It took me by surprise at how much I love this stuff. The body lotion is great, it soaks into your skin straight away and it's non greasy. I would totally recommend this stuff as it's not too expensive as well. I will be definitely purchasing some more.
After applying the lotion I love to be in my massive big fluffy dressing gown to keep warm. We then usually find a film to watch that we both like and sit down relax and have tea.
