My 3 Favorite Palettes!

My 3 Favorite Palettes

I currently love wearing something bright and colorful with it been this time of year. I always like to try something new each year to see if I like it for the summer. To have a summer look if you like. Having something different and knowing you can pretty much use the same look everyday.

Recently I needed a new eye shadow palette for a family event I was going to. I popped into my local superdrug as it was last minute. I have never used Revolution before however I knew I have heard good reviews about the brand. I was looking for a certain color and the Revolution palettes had the color I needed it was a dusky pink color. The lady in the store mentioned she uses them all the time and she said they were brilliant, I had it to get it. I couldn't believe the price of the palette it was £4 and you get 12 eye shadows in the palette absolute bargain in my eyes. Their are a few colors in the palette that I might not ever use however the majority of them I would. I absolutely love my make up look when I use this palette. I love the dusky pink eye shadow look. I tend to use the lightest color as a base to my eye shadow. I then go ahead and use the lightest dusky pink and finish it off with the more pink color on the outer corners.

Thoughts on this palette...

When I first tried this palette the pigmentation on the eye shadows are unreal. They are so pigmented you don't need to use a lot. They are a powder however they feel a bit like cream to powder and they don't flake when you apply them. It lasts all day, I never had to do a touch up throughout the day. For £4 on a eye shadow palette that is this good is a bargain. I would highly recommend I will be definitely getting some more.

I have also been loving the Rimmel London Palette designed by Kate Moss. I absolutely loved it when it came out and I used it everyday and then I just stopped using it. However recently I have rediscovered how good this palette is and I love using it on a everyday basis as it is so easy to use. This palette had a highlight, Contour and a blusher. It has everything you need. The highlighter I would of loved this to be a bit more shimmery than it is. It's till great as a highlighter but personally I think there is better ones out there for the same price range. However the contour is really pigmented and it gives you the summer glow you need. This contour is also a great one to use as an eye shadow if you want a smoky eye look. The blusher is a lovely way to finish of the look with a pop of color on the tops of your cheeks. This palette is so handy to have if your on the move all the time or you travel as it's really easy to pop in your hand bag.

I have recently discovered that I love a good highlighter especially for the summer as it gives me a glowing and healthy look. I discovered this palette a couple of weeks ago now, I would highly recommend it if you love a highlighter. It's the Barry M Illuminating Highlighter Palette. It was £6.49 from Superdrug and you get 3 highlighters in the palette. You get a Frosty Cream, Iced Pink and a Gilded Bronze. I love using the frosty cream on my brow bones and cupids bow. These highlighters are super pigmented and it's got amazing longevity. I love it if I am going for a blush look I would pop my blush on my cheek bones and then on top of that I would use the Iced Pink. This makes my cheek bones stand out and it gives me a healthy glow. The Glided Bronze i'm starting to use more in the summer as I use a contour and then the Glided Bronze to pop on top.

Thoughts on this palette...

My Thoughts on this palette would be that I would highly recommend if you love a good highlighter. I would also recommend if you have an event to go to but you don't want to spend much on a highlighter this would be the one for you. As I mentioned in terms of longevity these are great. They last all day and they don't move your foundation or any other make up you may have on. These are super creamy which means they are easy to blend. You can have your make up the way you like it, whether that's only a little bit or a lot. You won't need to use as much as they are super pigmented. This also cruelty free make up which is always amazing to hear.

They are my 3 favorite palettes at the moment and they are all affordable also.
